The EUR.2 certificate is a simplified preferential origin document for low-value shipments. Unlike EUR.1, it can be completed by the exporter without customs endorsement. It has been largely replaced by the invoice declaration and the EU REX (Registered Exporter System). Invoice declarations allow self-certification for shipments up to EUR/CHF 6,000 (no limit for authorised exporters). For Swiss trade operations, the invoice declaration has completely replaced EUR.2.
