FORM A is a certificate of origin that is used in trade between the European Union and developing countries (DCs) that are listed.

With FORM A, the developing country certifies that the goods are of its origin and production so as to fully or partially exempt the payment of duty on the goods when they are imported into the European Union. FORM A is used only for imports to the European Union; it does not apply to exports from the European Union to developing countries.

This mode of exchange is called the Generalized Preferences System (GSP) or, in the more popular English version, Generalized Preferences System (GPS or GPS form is a synonym for Form A, particularly used by Asian countries).
