Customs administration centralized counting procedure (pcd)

As part of import customs procedures, the use of a customs account (PCD) is required so that the Federal Tax Administration and Customs can proceed with VAT and possibly duty debits.

The use of one’s customs account, when used by third parties (shipping and logistics companies or companies), must be confirmed in writing by the owner of the account; this can be done through a completed and signed customs clearance warrant.

This procedure is important, as Customs Offices (CUs) may conduct spot checks to verify whether the authorization has actually been applied for.
